“Before enrolling at Akuah I had very little previous Black History knowledge. I lacked focus and my life could of gone in any direction. Akuah was an experience I would recommend to any young girl. I learnt many interesting things about my culture such as history, dance and how to make certain foods. I also made good friends. One thing I found very interesting was learning about ancient Egyptian history.

I’m now studying biomedical science, I hope to go on to medicine or teaching, I’m interested in developing a natural hair care range for afro hair.”
